Defensive Specced DoK POV
Guard is only 1 target at a time right?
For a defensive specced group, I would have a heal speced DoK, 1 Chosen, 1 BO, 1 Zealot, 1 shaman, and 1 sorc, the group synegy would go like this
DoK paired with Chosen
DoK Paired with BO
Shaman, Sorc / Shaman, offense caster
Zealot, group heals
I imagine that would be a tough group to take down as it is basically 3 groups in 1 with 2 tanks able to protect the sorc at any time and tons of offhealing.
Each class also serves a dual role, and a triology of roles with spec
DoK also provides dps, but in such a group composition they would also need to stack some willpower and toughness.
DoKs stand as the middle lines between the tank and the casters, in this group composition, the sorc being the only burst class needs to have primary focus target and also guarded at the same time, by the Chosen, BO AND the DoK.
A sorc can be pretty tough when speeced right (aoe snares) and with a dps/healer, 2 tanks, and melee/healer.
In the case your sorc is not focused your job becomes so much easier. Either the Dok is focused (spec and gear for toughness), or the shaman is focused. The zealot needs to keep that offhealer up at all cost.
In the case your tanks are focused. You win. End of story.
The zealot should be so far back, as not even the tanks are in range, unless they need to be in LoS, which in that case call it in vent and both the Chosen and the Zealot will move into heal range.
This should cover a 50+ yard radius and give your group enough reaction tim. Inside each scenario are added structures that can effectively block enemy damage for set periods of time.
